Review: actually 3.5 stars. Good sushi. fresh fish. good size rolls (not too big, not too small). nothing was to die for, but it is a decent place for sushi. the rolls that we got that were “spicy” were actually not that spicy at all. convenient place so i will be back.

I always go for the lunch box ($15) with udon (cold or hot). It comes with five or six different small samples, and a small dessert. Tried it for dinner the other day, and was utterly disappointed. I always enjoy eating izakaya fare at night but the quality of their small dishes for dinner was defiantly lacking. Will not give them another chance for dinner at $40 a head. Pros: brunch special

Review: I love, love, LOVE this place!!! They have the BEST sushi I have ever had!!! Sure, they’re expensive, but soooooo worth it! The sushi rolls are ginormous in size and packed with flavor. I love the special sauce and the macadamia nuts…it’s like nothing you have ever had. We always get the Booty Booty Roll, Sex and Sexy and the Pookie Roll. The Booty Booty Roll and Sex and Sexy are almost similar in taste but each is unique in its own way. I sooo heart spicy tuna! I love the Pookie Roll because of the mango atop the sushi roll drizzled with honey and unagi sauce. We’ve also tried Fun Larry (topped with a lemon slice which gives the roll that burst of freshness that pops in your mouth), Climax Roll, and Ashley’s “That’s How I Roll”. All were very, very tasty and worth every penny.

Reviews: This place is my secret form of happiness.
Every time I go in there they tell me I’m beautiful (”just like my mother”) and then they give me thick delicious buttery sashimi. My mama and I get down on the godzilla roll, I mean we act all polite at first but then we just inhale it until there’s nothing left…
It’s good. It’s really good.

This place is pretty close to where I work. I’ve never been on the other side of Park Presidio.
I got the Lunch Bento Box with Chicken and California Roll. Comes with soup, rice, and salad. Pretty good. Although, the California roll was coming apart. Overal it was a good lunch. I felt comfortable after my meal.
The price is not too bad, $8.
I’ll probably go back again. Not sure if I’d eat there. It’s pretty tiny.

3. Matsu Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Bar

Houston TX 77069

REVIEW: I highly recommend this place if your on the north side of Houston. Probably the most authentic japanese food on this side of town. They even have my favorite “futomaki” which I rarely find at most sushi bars. My only complaint is the rice they use for the sushi needs have a little more flavor imo.

The best Japanese restaurant in Houston. I love the shrimp tempura lunch box with an order of cucumber maki. Nice and quiet for lunch with a good book or a good friend.

4. Tsunami Restaurant & Sushi Bar

Reviews: For a great sushi restaurant you need great sushi period. Then comes the ambiance, service, etc. and Tsunami didn’t impress me at all on all of those accounts and I don’t see wasting my time and money here when the Happy Sumo is so close by and has the best sushi I’ve ever had. Then I would go with Takashi. And if they weren’t around I’d go to my local supermarket and make my own. Don’t bother.

We found this place through a friend, thankfully! It’s by far the best sushi in SLC, in my opinion. We drive from another county to eat there. Always great service, prompt seating and fabulously fresh fish. Do yourself a favor and order at least two Sunshine Rolls!
Pros: Everything…food, service, ambience
Cons: Maybe parking, but only a problem on weekends

5. Nami Sushi Bar
4 and half star rating
201 W 9 Mile Rd
Ferndale, MI 48220-1795
Phone: (248) 542-6458
Reviews: Nami is my favorite place to dine. The owner has a new business partner who really seens to be helping out in the service/server area. The rolls are good sized and very reasonably priced. The beer and drink selections are vast. The wine selections are nice and they totally compliment the food. The atmosphere is high energy and fun. They were just given an award by Ambassaor magazine for the “Best Sushi in metro Detroit”. It is DEFINITELY worth checking out. You won’t be dissappointed.
Pros: GREAT FOOD AND DRINKS

I love Nami. It’s so much more low-key than Sakana, which is just arranged in a weird, futuristic way. The People are great, and Thursdays for 2 for 1 night CAN NOT be beat! Enjoy Ferndale’s Original and Best Sushi Choice.

Reviews: As if this place needed more praise!
I loves me some fresh raw stuff, and I loves me tiny restaurants, and this place caters to both those turnons. My advice is, don’t bother with more than maybe 1 fancy roll. The fish is so fresh and so raw and so pretty, that you should just order sashimi or nigiri and enjoy it just like that, plain and simple. Fancy stuff is for later, when the novelty has worn off.
Expect to drop some cash. Expect it to be worth it. Bring some extra napkins, know whatta mean…
Yes. Sushi IS sexy.

I have been to Oishii a few times and it is always a pleasure. I try to go to this location at odd hours as seating is limited. Everything Chef Ting does is exquisite- so you cannot really go wrong. BUT…you MUST have the foie gras. Have to. It is #3 in my top tasting experiences. I get it everytime I go. Hot delicious force fed duck liver over a bed of strawberries wrapped and tempura-ed and then topped with dry carrot. Heaven. Heaven I tell you.
The waitresses are really cute too.

This is certainly my initial stop by and I really like what I’m seeing. Your weblog is so much fun to look over, quite compelling as well as informative. I’ll undoubtedly recommend it to my friends. Nevertheless, I did have some problem with the commenting. It kept giving me an problem whenever I clicked on publish comment. I hope, that can be fixed. Many thanks
